SRU Athletics

 I have learned how great Slippery Rock is about supporting their athletics over the year and a half that I have attended this University. I love all of the attention and credit that is given to our school's athletes, especially because they are also students. I cannot imagine how much of a challenge it is to balance school and a sport in college. I am happy that credit is given where it is deserved. I wish all of SRU's athletes' luck with any upcoming seasons, athlete recovery, and training. 

Campus Trail

 I have come to really enjoy the trail around campus. I love being able to go on walks and runs on a nice blacktop trail. Staying active outside is a great way to boost my mood and help me feel my best. I love that our campus is so big and allows for me to run however long I want without getting sick of the same scenery. I think that everyone should try to get on the campus trail at least once and enjoy it!

Wellness Education

 I came to Slippery Rock to become a health and physical education teacher. I have learned so much while being here on a number of things, including swimming, nutrition, technology, wellness, and how to use my recourses here the best. I have come to love this campus, my peers, and the environment that Slippery Rock has. I will graduate in the spring of 2028 and start my career, while I am teaching, I will work on completing my master's degree. I really enjoy the wellness education aspect to this major and that is the reason why I chose to come here and I am happy that I did. 

"Coolest" Technology

    I am in a technology for wellness course at the University of Slippery Rock this semester, and we have been talking about all different types of technology tools and features. I for one think that today's technology is wonderful and very helpful to our society for many different reasons. Some of those include being able to search almost anything you want to know, getting in touch with a variety of people, and positive social media platforms. My professor asked us in class today what we feel is the "coolest" technology and I would have to say in my opinion Spotify is. I use many different social media platforms, but Spotify sticks out to me the most because I love listening to music. I think that it is awesome that our world has changed the way that we can listen to music over the years.
